檸檬草是如何風靡全球的呢？在20世紀的時候，一位斯里蘭卡的研究人員為了研究檸檬草的多種用途，在一個農場種植了檸檬草，而關於檸檬草植物及其療癒精油的消息也開始迅速傳開。1947年，檸檬草終於在佛羅里達州和海地開始大量被商業化種植。
今天，檸檬草持續在古巴和加勒比海地區被使用，因為它被認為可以保健身體和有助於促進消化道健康，它經常被用於亞洲美食中，用來調味湯、茶、咖喱，帶有淡淡的檸檬香味。它也是許多清潔用品和驅避蚊蟲商品。

如使用於身體，需注意事項：
敏弱膚質請以基底油稀釋後，再使用於肌膚上。如果你懷孕或哺乳中或正在接受醫生診療，請向你的醫生諮詢。避免接觸眼睛、內耳或其他肌膚敏感部位。

「檸檬草磨砂膏」
將這款清爽香甜的磨砂膏塗抹於肌膚上，然後用溫水洗淨。
20滴檸檬草精油
60 毫升甜杏仁油
120毫升葡萄籽油
360公克粗糖
在玻璃罐中將油混合，然後拌入糖即可。
